The existing plant, built in 1995 was specifically designed to be a cylinder manufacturing facility. The plant layout provides for the smooth and efficient flow of raw material and finished parts. Overhead bridge cranes facilitate the movement of the largest component parts and completed cylinders, while CNC automated machining centers, lathes, bar feeders, and welding machines do their jobs. Pick and place robots allow our machinists to operate multiple machines, gauge and check manufactured parts, and optimize our production.
We stock tube and rod stock raw material in addition to an extensive inventory of machined components parts to meet the needs of our customers. All machining is done in-house to allow us the best possible delivery for our NFPA, welded, mill-style, and special cylinders. Finished parts are stored in an air conditioned stock room.
Georgia Hydraulic prides itself on being innovative and current with technology. Our on-staff engineers, using state-of-the-art Cad systems, require minimal time in the design and engineering process, moving cylinders into production sooner. Quality control procedures include leak and cycle test of new and repaired cylinders, thread gauges on all machined threads.
